CAI curated an exhibition of rare artifacts from Xian, China. Treasures from the Cradle of Chinese Civilization: 5,000 Years of Ancient Art from the Huang He Valley was a cooperative project between China’s Shaanxi Cultural Relics Bureau and the government of Guam, with the participation of the Guam Visitors Bureau, Guam International Airport, Department of Chamorro Affairs, Guam Museum, University of Guam. CAI acted as the museum expert for the project.

CAI curators chose over 100 objects from the Xian Museum, including recent discoveries from the Yellow River Valley. Twelve of the renowned Xian ceramic warrior figures and a life-sized terracotta horse were selected as the focal point of the exhibition.

CAI oversaw research, designed the exhibition, converted a commercial space into a climate-controlled gallery, wrote labels, registered objects, packed and shipped the artifacts, designed cases, installed the exhibition, as well as trained docents and authored educational pamphlets.

This major museum exhibition brought the culture of China to the people of Guam.
