CAI was a consultant to the National Crafts Council of Australia, assigned to curate contemporary crafts and develop exhibitions in public venues.

The first exhibition was held at Perth International Airport; additional projects were developed in co-operation with the Adelaide Museum (1,000 Boomerangs) and the Power House Museum, Sydney (Historic Shoes).
