GREATER TORONTO AIRPORT AUTHORITY, TORONTO, CANADA

CAI conducted an international competition working with the client and the architects to select art for major commissions within the new airport building. The art was integrated into the architecture and served as a marker for the passengers as they found their destination.

CAI managed the competition, selection process, the contracting of the artists, the fabrication, artist milestones, and worked with the contractors for the installation of these major works of art which included paintings, freestanding and suspended sculpture, and a water feature. Among the artists selected were: Jonathan Borofsky - U.S.A.

The project includes community outreach: a small museum and a program of rotating art exhibits.
